This article explains the repair for when windows loads with a temporary profile. Locate the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList Find the string that contains the .bak and the one without the .bak.
